You can actually log in tonight? I don’t think I’ll start the game tonight but I haven’t been able to play even single player for days. 
I usually play from 20:30 to 23 (more or less). Sometimes it takes long time to connect, sometimes it leaves out.
Tonight I was able to stay online for a long time.
I believe the problems are related to the huge load of users, but I’m confident that Rockstar Games will resolve the issue soon.

I didn’t try a lot but no, I don’t think it even opened any sort of title menu etc.
I do however have it as a kind of a hobby. Buy a cool game on steam/GOG/Origin now, without actually playing it (time/hardware issues), forget about it, then years later find it in the game library, waiting for me, like a back log of gold.

FWIW I got me a new (well) mac mini the other day, and it actually runs GTAV in Bootcamp, yay. Maybe I’ll get an eGPU some day to make it run smooth.
