The official travel thread

Manneke Pis
-ke(n), -eke(n), -ske(n) is the standard Flemish diminutive form. Man= man, manneke or manneken (depending on the regional dialect) is little man, boy

The french word mannequin (top model) is derived from this, by the way. This was the official language thread, right? Or did I go off-topic again?

That’s because there’s only tourists and (euro)parliament and commuters there. Most Belgians rarely visit Brussels.
I live about 10 miles from it and the last time I actually visited Brussels was on a school field trip.

What about to just wait and see?

A weather forecast is only able to forecast the weather of the next day. The weather of the next seven days are always guesses (or, to be more precise, the average of the results of different weather models).

This is true. I shall heed @someone’s wise words.

When you plan to land in Sorrento?

Did you ever see Dirty Jobs? They had an episode on cleaning a skyscraper in Hawaii.

I’d also recommend checking out the (now canceled) follow-up, Somebody’s Gotta Do It. I think it’s probably somewhat niche here in Europe, if known at all.

Wouldn’t that explain the opposite? Maybe that’s just me. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the Magritte museum and a variety of things like that but I wouldn’t say I like Brussels.

I think I’ve probably been to Brussels at least once a year over the past decade but the last time I went there just for fun was two or three years ago, to visit the museum of natural sciences.

Late this evening :flight_arrival:

I always feel like there’s a smiley for every little thing when I see something like this, but then I try to find a tombstone or something and it’s not there. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wouldn’t it be “Buono Filghtissimo” or something like that in this case?
