Because seven ate nine
Classic Dad joke
You know why the 7 is scared of the 9?
Edit: what tufaccia said.
🖑
That was my first thought. Then my second thought wasn’t “look for an IPA symbol that looks like an 8”, but “look for one that looks like a 7 and a 9 mashed together”
@milanfahrnholz, it seems I am also pooped
Stupid confusingly nice weather.
Have you read Jonathan Coe’s “Expo 58”?
Oh, I interpreted it more as a perv joke at first glance.
Huh, I just posted in that funny books topic and I didn’t even mention What a Carve Up — great book. But no, I did not.
No. Thanks for asking.
@seguso
We’ve gone north only for some km along the adriatic coast, 'cause the wonderful weather made my company decide to stop at beaches and visit nearby towns. Anyway I always enjoy Abruzzo and its people. Very good trip.
You’re welcome!
Just let me know the days some weeks before, preferably on weekends…
It will be the 13th of something, of course!
In the catacombs of Saint Januarius… hmmm… this reminds me something…
Hmmm, and now, where will I go?
I wonder where this tunnel takes…
So close, but how I could get down there?
Another mysterious tunnel, just a dead end?
Are those in Regensburg? They look quite recent, judging also from the vault in reinforced concrete (anyway it could be successive)… “Magdalena Pilz, 1888”. Scary.
Actually, they were, but since all the bones and skulls were moved to another underground cemetery called “Cemetery of the Little Fountains”.
No that is in Hallstatt, Austria.
We have a world famous torture chamber in Regensburg, though.
It is more or less around the corner.
It is and odd place really. It has a mine that you can take a tour through, that Bonehouse is really small but world famous because the tatooed names on the skulls. There are lots and lots of cats who all have their seperate entrances into every house sometimes with small wooden planks leading up to the doors from down street level. It can be really dark and foggy because the lake is in deep valley and all the streets from and two it lead through tunnels carved in the mountains. I´ve been there a couple of times but these days it is overrun by chinese tourists who are drawn to this place because it is so popular over there that they built an exact copy of it in china. Recognising that all the store signs are in chinese as well.
Just booked a trip to Nice!
Spending three whole days there - Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th July. Arriving Tuesday evening, departing Saturday afternoon.
Last year we made a road trip through italy. But did not go much farther than naples. Now we can die *
We just returned from crete (still alive).
It has not only great beaches but also nice nature (for hiking). Oh, and the food. Thyme honey, hmm. You also smell the wild thyme every now and then.
Our hotel was located between iraklio and chania on the north coast. This region is very “touristy”, if this is not your cup o tea (like us) i recommend renting a car. With it you can travel to remote places and enjoy the fabulous serpentines.
Also i recommend to make a hike through one of the many gorgeous gorges. The biggest is the samarian, but also very crowded. We did the impros.
Im a bit lazy, so i close now with a few impressions
