When I want to hear Morrisey say stupid stuff I go on the internet.
Yes, if you align the dish to the ânormalâ Astra 1 satellites. If you move the dish over to the Astra 2 satellite system, you are able to get several (not encrypted) UK channels. The most interesting channels are in the so called Astra 2 UK beam. If you are able to receive it, you can even watch the BBC. But that isnât possible in all parts of Germany and I havenât tried it for myself (because I donât own the satellite dish on the roof).
Yeah I can´t really move mine all too much. Besides in times where most tv is streamed over the net it really isnt worth the effort.
Depends on what you would like to see. Streaming isnât a great solution because there is this region blocking thing and you canât record a lot of things/streams (to watch it later). The X-Files is a good example: We got the show later than the others, dubbed and some parts were cut (if I understood that correct :)).
Yeah and on prime you can watch it even without commercials. They had it in germany two years ago, but only the german version.
I looked up who she was, then found out that in no point in her life was she married to Richard Pryor and was severly disappointed.
I made that up!
Then how come an Edith Pryor from North London turned 100 on december 25th?
Coinkidink?
Do you have the ability to make things you write retroactivly come true?
I hope not. I donât want any baked beans on my chair. (Yes, thatâs the worst one I could think of.)
Well, what a relief!
So the finale had a few cuts, too.

One actually confused me while watching since I couldn´t understand how you instantly kill somebody with a shot in the cheek. Turns out that was the second shot after the headshot.
The late night repeat was uncut, but I don´t seem to have missed that much this time.
Oh blimey I donât know how you watch some programmes in Germany without being hugely confused.
And those cuts with William where he made the agents explode are pretty important too!
It says they cut a scene where Reyes was lighting up - do they always do that too, then?
No, I don´t think so.
The worst thing with cuts done by third parties is when they don´t care about continuity or pace. You often get sudden jumps in the soundtrack when music was playing during a scene they cut out.
Funnily enough, browsing your the UK amazon yesterday, I found that you don´t seem to use a protection code for the highest rated movies. When I want to watch something that is an â18â in the german store I have to put in a four digit code always. It´s a child protection that you cannot switch off even if there is no children in your house.
And you don´t have that, while you actually have quite a lot of former video nasties on prime. Many of which you still can´t aquire uncut legally in germany. Though it´s getting better with The Evil Dead now rated 16 after having been completly banned for the longest time.
Yeah thatâs a good point actually. On Sky Box Sets we have to put in a code (although that might depend if childlock is left on by default or something).
Awww, crap. Why do I even write things like this?
So made myself a big list of stuff I wanted to watch on the UK Prime and now it doesn´t work anymore.I just get a message about region blocking.
Oh no, boo I wonder why that happened. Did you access it from a different place the second time?
No, same place, same device. I guess it just took them a bit longer to find out my exact location or something.
The region blocking thing is most based on IP addresses (your smartphone uses the same technique if you deactivate GPS). In a private household the IP address changes once a day. Maybe you had luck and got an IP address that is/was originally originated in the UK.
But the simplest reason would be that Amazon deactivated the region block for a short period (for example for maintenance reasons).
Last one seems most likely. Yes, I was aware that might have been an oversight and it wouldn´t last long. Should have watched as much as possible on the day I discovered it, but didn´t have the time.
