Thimbleweed Park follow-up game, fan made

Yes, Frank Oz tried to argue that that´s what the ending of the stage version is. He theorized that it´s easier for characters to die on stage because after the play is over the actors come back and take a bow, and that doesn´t happen in a movie. So the audience has a harder time accepting the death of the characters.

Sorry, I haven’t enough spare time.

No, seriously: You don’t have to be an artist. Just make some “wireframes” or re-use the graphics from TWP. Maybe other can improve them.

We have so many italians, here. Don´t italians just love copying stuff? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I had meant that only for the losing ending, but that’s so evil I like it: Same ending for both (unless you tick the Happy Ending checkbox in the settings)

I don’t had in mind to publish them or use them in a “new” game. But like Ron did it with his current RPG, it could be helpful to use them for your own to know how a scene would look like and/or “work”.

As reference material, got it!

Wow, I arrived late to this thread and see that it went in at least three different directions! :scream_cat: Hehehe.

On the original question, I’d be interested in applying my superior mad procrastinating skillz to this project.

It sounds like a lot of fun to at least try. :+1:

If you have ideas of what platform or collaboration process you want to use, let me know, I’d love to contribute.

After experimenting with AGS I’ve come to the conclusion that I should leave the art to the professionals. But a text adventure sounds reasonable.

:grinning:

We are Italians, not Chinese.

Yeah, the difference is when you guys copy stuff, you make it better

Ok. How to continue this thread privately? Open only to people interested in approaching the development? I don’t want to spoil anyone

:grinning:

Maybe a Google group, or a private thread here (how to do that)?

Just start with some…I mean anyone you want and then keep inviting people.

Why don’t you want to discuss this in public? If you do the discussion here, others can enter and contribute if they like.

Because I’d like to share development with everybody interested in development, not just with “everybody” getting in and saying “that’s a bad idea/I’d do this and that” and just leaving.

You mean feel like @RonGilbert when he did the Development Blog?

And that won’t happen if you do it in a private chat?

Hey, that’s it, some privacy for the creative efforts sounds good… And you’ll be spoiler-free :joy:

I more or less would like to have ideas questioned, but only by people engaged in the process at least at some level, that’s it.

Ok, I am starting a private conversation. Everybody interested in being pulled into the process, just ask me!
Thank you!
