Ok, I have a challenge (no cheating please) for @ZakPhoenixMcKracken and @tasse-tee this time:
Where did the Shaman study ?
1 point for getting the city/cities correct
1 point for getting the full name of the school(s) correct
1 point for getting the title of the course(s) correct
Never mind, it wasn’t a glitch after all!
It turns out, the first time you meet the aliens on the spaceship (while disguised or undisguised), they try to catch you. But the second time you visit them, they don’t care - unless you try to give them an artefact when undisguised.
It did seem like a glitch at first, before I tried giving them things.
Would you like a public or private answer?
private of course - otherwise it isn’t a real contest
lol, I only remember the gist of it but I know I READ the relevant stuff in my FM-TOWNS stream
oh… and other people who want to guess, feel free to join in and beat one of the great Zakdicts
Pardon, I didn’t see! I’ll answer immediately in private
And the results just came in. It was really close, because of half-right answers for which I gave half points
Second runner up, with 1 point is… @tasse-tee!
First runner-up, with 4 points is…
The winner with 5 points is…
@Frenzie !
If you want to know the correct answers, go read them in the game. They’re funnier that way (I’m no good at re-telling jokes)
Was that my bonus point for originality?
Oh… and the prizes are the same for all (though in proportion): my respect for remembering useless stuff

First runner-up, with 4 points is…
Impressive. How long has it been since you last played it, @ZakPhoenixMcKracken?
I reckon I had a slight advantage, playing the game twice these past few weeks and purposefully reading that particular text again in the FM-TOWNS version because I thought it was funny.
(Also, without @Sushi allowing me a retry I would’ve gotten 4 as well, but I assume the same courtesy was extended to the other participants. )
Yes, if I let only the first guess count, you still would have won.
Though Zak was the only one to get 1 completely right (minus spelling )
That deserves some
Sadly, no points according to the rules of the game.

Impressive. How long has it been since you last played it, @ZakPhoenixMcKracken?
uhm, maybe 15 years since the last time I played, but my memory is more clear back then, when I was a teen, in 1988. Many sentences I read in english comes from that period of time, and I remember since then.
Update: I’m a bit stuck, but still really enjoying this game I actually quite like all the travelling about and trying to connect different bits. I thought that would annoy me but in some ways it’s nicer than a linear environment where you’re left staring at a difficult puzzle not being able to progress. I’ve solved lots of mini puzzles so I hope I’ll be able to use the right save game and order of things to connect them all without running out of money (I’ve managed not to so far).
One question – in one of my save games I started driving the spaceship. Can I still get back to Mars at some point to engage with the things there? (I’m guessing that’s where all the characters will end up at some point, but I just want to check so I don’t bamboozle myself!)
In related news, my recent Zak tweet appears to have racked up 38 likes. I think that’s a record for me. Turns out there are more Zak fans out there than we may have realised!

One question – […]
One answer: The spaceship will reach the Earth in three REAL months. David Fox has confirmed it recently on this forum.
It works even if the computer is turned off. So, you must check on september…
And there is no way to return to Mars. You must reload a previous saved game.

One answer:
£&$^%@*!
Oh what a lovely birthday present that would make for her!

That surprised me, too. Made me smile, too.

Seriously though, I think that´s a bad dead end you got yourself into. Go back to a save where the girls are still on mars and leave them there.
