But you learn so many fake facts about other galaxies!

Yes, but it isn’t comparable with the amount of facts I learned from Zak McKracken about the Mars or Monkey Island about the Caribbean Sea.

Agree. Not to mention the other places all around the Earth!

The first one I’ve never watched.
The second one is known here as “Ulisse 31”, and the intro was quite the same:

You really should check it out. It’s like the greatest thing.

There were also some “educational” cartoons.

E.g., we could learn the mythology of ancient Greece, with Pollon:

That’s nothing. Here’s Jeanne d’Arc fighting Jack the Ripper. :stuck_out_tongue:

The intro of that show wasn’t half bad.

Then, we had:

Lady Oscar [The Rose Of Versailles] (story of the French revolution)

Siamo fatti così [Il était une fois… la vie] (french cartoon where you could learn what’s inside the human body)

(oh, this one has subs ita, you can sing it  )

One of the most iconic tunes by far was the A-Team:

<3 Dirk Benedict.

We had that too. There was also a corresponding series with about the history AFAIR. But I was to old to watch them.

No! George Peppard!

No! <3 Audrey Hepburn!

I just remembered the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann soundtrack is made of win. I was still mostly a child when it came out. :stuck_out_tongue:

Row! Row! Fight the power!

I forgot about Inspector Gadget, hehe. But I was a bit on the older side by the time I caught that.

My absolute favorites from the late '80s/early '90s are Alfred J Kwak, Ducktales and… Thunderbirds.

Does this fit the topic or do poetry recitals go somewhere else? @Someone I figured I’d see how my webcam’s mic does compared to my cellphone.

Annie Schmidt belongs to my earliest reading experiences. Besides the general feeling of joy, I’ve forgotten almost everything about her stories and poems.

She died on this day in 1995.

Annie M.G. Schmidt (1911-1995)

Wow, you guys are both really good at the Japanese look!

Is that a Yoko cosplayer with him? That’s pretty daring. :stuck_out_tongue: (Anime women are weird.)
