I think you’re right! I was hoping they win, but had no idea it would be this kind of bloodbath!
I just hope they don’t get complacent now. They always seem to go downhill shortly after I start getting excited.
Wait till Thursday;-)
Yes that will be interesting, won’t it
I didn´t know Boris Schneider-Johne was a football trainer now.
Ha! Apparently he’s got a coaching gig now (but not for long from the looks of it).
Hah, so not only I see it!
Speaking of that, I noticed Peter Lorre was absent from the German team yesterday.
We have done it!
We have vanquished the mightiest of the footballing nations: Panama.
I wish there was one!
One more win on Thursday and England gets the third piece of the Triforce!
…or will Belgium get it first?
@ZakPhoenixMcKracken Japan equalizes! This is turning out to be a good game (2-2).
I’ve started an experiment: How long could I avoid any information about the World Cup starting with the German/Sweden match last evening. The results: 23 hours. I made the mistake to watch a TV show completely unrelated to football. The first thing they said was the result of the match. I’ll try another attempt with the next German match.
Sorry to hear, I imagine it is annoying and painful. My country didn’t even qualify so I guess it’s all just fun and games for me to see who wins. I’m rooting for certain teams but it doesn’t make a ton of difference for me. Not like when the Mets lost the “the World Series” (yes it’s a stupid name- it just means US Baseball Finals) a couple years ago where I actually got depressed. Not that I’m a baseball fan at all but I live right down the road from the stadium so you can feel the energy of all the fans just from living here.
Oh, that’s nice to hear that the staff of the Met has a company team playing baseball.
Japan draws against Senegal and it’s good news, as it gives both Japan and Senegal good chances of passing the stage. I want more Asia and Africa in this World Cup, enough with the Europe-SouthAmerica domination.
And, as a Japan fan, current Colombian lead is good news, as it would mean Poland goes home and might not be motivated for the third match against the Blue Samurais.
By the way, did you know there are SIX people named Rodriguez in this World Cup, and they play for FIVE different teams? The most rodriguezy team is Panama with 2, while the least expectedly rodriguezy might be Switzerland, as the other four are all Spanish speaking countries.
I’m going to use that to start a conspiracy theory if we lose.
I bet they all have different catchphrases as well…

Catchphrase #1:
That doesn’t seem to work…
