No, still not working.
The paper is already in the basket and when I say âput paper in basketâ it says âyou don´t have the basketâ. Which is strange but when I say put basket on floor (I also said âbasket with paperâ to be accurate to what it says in the inventory) and it always says âthat can´t be done at this timeâ.
Also not working are:
Put basket down
Put basket on ground
Drop basket
Throw basket

Are you trying it in the corridor with the trapdoor?
Is the trapdoor shut?
Maybe try it in a few different spots. I actually thought it was supposed to be done on one of the adjacent screens but walkthroughs say otherwise.
No if it is shut I can´t put the plunger to the barrier. It is opening. There seems to be no other screen I can go to.

Why did I have to cling onto it then? The trap starts working I push the plunger against the wall and hang on it to be safe for a while, and then I have to jump down immediatly?
Okay so I just dropped down and this strange situation came up.
The door opens again and the walls disappear. I still can´t place the bucket but I´m running against an invisible wall on the left and get go up the steps either.
The trap door keeps on opening until I finally fall in.
As an aside, is the enormous mouse how it actually looked back in the day?
You have to use the plunger to avoid the acid revealed by the open trapdoor. When it closes again you can step down.
That looks like a glitch.
When you first enter the room youâre supposed to attach the plunger to the left of the enclosing walls that come down. Then when the trapdoor in the floor starts opening, you grab the plunger and hang from it. When the trapdoor starts closing again, you let go and stand on it.
I thought it seemed like you did it too quickly (like most people do) - thatâs why youâre dying.
It looks like in the screenshot that the walls are still there but invisible.
Does it look like this at any point?

Under what circumstances does it close again?
Here is how it works for me. When I enter nothing happens. When I walk to the left, wall comes down, walk to the right wall comes down, almost immediatly after that the trap starts opening only then can I use the plunger with the left barrier.
