Look over here instead
Haha, just been there.
That looks a lot like Lone Survivor.
I wonder if they talked to Al Lowe? I just saw him last weekend, he didn’t say anything about this. It would be a crime if they didn’t*.
- Not a “going to jail” crime, but a “going to hell” crime.
Indeed. It seems a bit too much.
Did you say “Allo, Al Lowe”?
I tried to search on the internet some material about that meeting, but I had no luck.
Could you please tell us how was it?
P.S. welcome back!
To which Al said “goodbye!”
Which made Ron reply
Don´t know why you say “goodbye”?
I say Al Lowe!
About that, I think I’ve never heard the pronunciation of that name.
How is it pronounced?
The “e” is silent.
And it rhymes with “Hello” that was the joke.
Thanks. So it doesn’t rhymes with goodbye, ok. For a moment I got confused!
I don´t really feel like explaining my joke to you, now.
That’s OK, I had understood the joke.
Only it didn’t squared the last sentence of the rhyme’s block
Perhaps you’d need to go on a magical mystery tour to understand the joke better…
I imagine you’d pronounce it as Al Löwe
(outside of the joke)
(stuck with now… I say yes …You say no…)
The art looks great and they already have some pretty funny spoof things in there in the Sierra style… the still-pixelated bar poster is a great touch…
I remember reading a thing where Ken Williams said he didn’t think of the Sierra games as adventure games, he thought of them as genres like comedy, mystery, etc. and so he said Larry worked because it was first and foremost a comedy and it was very funny.
That Larry game looks like a bit of silly fun, and at least it looks ten times closer to the originals than the dangerously misguided “magna” and “bust” the screenshot of “2nd hand dildos” made me both laugh and feel ill.
Not sure if it’s worth that money though.
