Trivia apps such as QuizUp

Just did a simpsons one managed to reach the 15th question and had to two wildcard questions in between. One was complete a Beatles lyric and the other about Pound Puppies that I had to guess (but guessed right).

Oh yeah, I should’ve suggested Simpsons. Well done, that’s pretty good :slightly_smiling_face: on The X-Files it’s almost always those wildcards that get me.

Either you are lucky with the topics or you have to swap them so often that you spend all your shiny thingies. :expressionless: I hope they don´t try to rip you off at some point…

I never use my tokens. I tried it a few times at the beginning and it never seemed to swap it to anything particularly useful!

Just had to do it twice and at the third I was able to choose “beginner´s german” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hahaha! I didn’t think of that erm loophole.

You should have no trouble matching my 57 points then

Hah, gotta try that now! Is there a cockney quiz?

Ooowwwwww! I dunno!

now you do!

edit: You really gotta explain some of those to me!

I wouldn’t bank on me being great at that! Here we go…

Yeah that was quite 'ard! Not heard of half of those.

There certainly is no way for logical deduction here. Especially when an animal is supposed to translate to a number?

I’m aware of that one but didn’t know where the connection comes from. Just looked it up and apparently it’s thought to come from old Indian rupee bank notes that had animals on them.

FYI only ‘pony’ is money related in that question (‘china’ means mate) so it was a bit of a trick!

Ahhh, so a bit like americans refering to their bank notes as Washingtons and Lincolns sometimes.

I was about to figure that out but then

By the way did I challenge you to The X-Files again, or did I dream that? (It’s entirely possible I dreamed it.)

No, turns out you did.

You’ve clearly not been paying attention when Scully’s drinking her coffee

Seems it didn´t stick the way “shaken not stirred” and “tea. earl grey. hot.” do. Would you have known that?

No. I learned it because it kept coming up as a question. But it does make sense, as she mostly eats salads and is quite healthy, so milk/cream but no sugar sounds right.

I actually got a trivia question somewhere else once where they asked for the name of her dog. That I could have answered! Albeit I´d have to look up how to write it despite having read the book.
